Qu'est-ce que le nom INCI d'un ingrédient ?

Le nom INCI (International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients) est le nom normalisé qui désigne un ingrédient sur l'étiquette d'un cosmétique. Il est identique dans tous les pays qui l'utilisent : l'huile d'argan s'écrit ARGANIA SPINOSA KERNEL OIL, l'acide hyaluronique SODIUM HYALURONATE.

Comment est classée la liste des ingrédients sur un cosmétique ?

Les ingrédients sont listés par ordre décroissant de concentration au moment de leur incorporation. Ceux présents à moins de 1 % peuvent être indiqués dans n'importe quel ordre, après les autres. Le parfum apparaît sous le mot PARFUM et certains allergènes sont nommés individuellement.

Quels ingrédients marocains utilisez-vous ?

Nous utilisons notamment l'huile d'argan, l'huile de figue de barbarie, le ghassoul, l'eau de rose de Damas, l'eau de fleur d'oranger, la nila, l'aker fassi, le cèdre de l'Atlas et la poudre de feuilles de jujubier, des ingrédients issus de la tradition cosmétique marocaine.

How do you read an INCI list?

INCI (International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients) is the international naming system used to identify each ingredient on cosmetic packaging. It is mandatory in the European Union.

01In descending order
Ingredients are listed from the highest to the lowest concentration at the time they are added.
02Below 1%, any order
Ingredients present at less than 1% may be listed in any order, after the others.
03Latin names for plants
Plants go by their botanical name: argan oil becomes ARGANIA SPINOSA KERNEL OIL.
04Fragrance and allergens
Fragrance appears under the word PARFUM; above a set threshold, certain allergens must be named individually.

What is an ingredient's INCI name?

The INCI name (International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients) is the standardized name that identifies an ingredient on a cosmetic label. It is the same in every country that uses it: argan oil is written ARGANIA SPINOSA KERNEL OIL, hyaluronic acid SODIUM HYALURONATE.

How is the ingredient list on a cosmetic product ordered?

Ingredients are listed in descending order of concentration at the time they are added. Those present at less than 1% may be listed in any order, after the others. Fragrance appears under the word PARFUM, and certain allergens are named individually.

Which Moroccan ingredients do you use?
