Agadir — Today, Carmel Cosmetics Labs had the honor of visiting the Cité de l’Innovation Souss-Massa (CISM), a center of excellence dedicated to applied research and technological innovation.
Together with Dr. Aicha Hamdouch, we met with:
- Ms. Imane Douzi, Director of the Cité de l’Innovation;
- Prof. Hind Mouhanni, Head of R&D for the Cité’s laboratories;
- and representatives of the Cluster Souss Massa Promotion.
A meeting full of prospects
The aim of this visit was to lay the foundations for a structured collaboration between the academic ecosystem and industrial players in cosmetics. Among the areas explored:
- Identifying the R&D needs of local cosmetics companies;
- Setting up applied research and technology transfer programs;
- Shared access to technical platforms, advanced equipment and scientific expertise;
- Co-funding mechanisms for innovation projects, supporting the move upmarket of the “Made in Morocco” label.
Toward collaborative, locally rooted innovation
At Carmel Cosmetics Labs, we believe the future of Moroccan beauty depends on a stronger link between scientific knowledge, natural resources and industrial excellence.
The Cité de l’Innovation Souss-Massa is a central player in this effort, fostering synergies between laboratories, start-ups, cooperatives and industrial SMEs.
A shared vision for the future
We applaud the quality of the discussions, the availability of the scientific teams, and the shared commitment to an innovative, sustainable and competitive Moroccan cosmetics industry.
Next steps: formalizing the partnerships, defining pilot projects and launching the first joint R&D actions.
Thank you to all our partners for their warm welcome and their commitment to building the future of the Moroccan cosmetics industry together!
