Carmel Cosmetics Labs has reached a major new milestone: it has officially obtained authorization as a Manufacturer, Exporter and Distributor of Medical Devices, for all classes, issued by the Moroccan Agency for Medicines and Health Products (AMMPS). This official recognition is a key milestone for the company and strengthens its strategic role in the medical and cosmetics industry, in Morocco and internationally.
The authorization shows that Carmel Cosmetics Labs complies with the demanding standards set by the AMMPS, reflecting the laboratory’s ongoing commitment to the quality, safety and effectiveness of the medical devices it manufactures, exports and distributes. It also opens the door to new opportunities abroad by easing access to regulated markets, where demand for compliant medical devices keeps growing.
The Carmel Cosmetics Labs Research and Development team is already actively developing new, original products for both the Moroccan and international markets. The strategy covers not only selling these medical devices in Morocco but also expanding contract manufacturing to meet the specific needs of the European and American markets.
Mohamed El Hjouji, CEO of Carmel Cosmetics Labs, said: “Obtaining this authorization is significant recognition of our team’s efforts and of our rigorous standards in quality and regulatory compliance. It strengthens our ability to meet the expectations of our international clients while contributing to Morocco’s image of excellence in the medical and cosmetics field.”
Carmel Cosmetics Labs is thus fully aligned with the national strategy for industrial development and exports, offering products that are innovative and compliant with the best international practices. This step also confirms Morocco’s position as an attractive hub for the medical device industry in Africa and beyond.
